IntraOral Camera
With a small camera, about the size of a pen, we are able to take detailed pictures. We can project these pictures onto a computer screen and zoom in and enlarge the images. You are able to see exactly what we see, and then discuss treatment options. You can take a computer print out home to help you make informed decisions about the treatment that you want to pursue.

Electrosurgery
A new procedure called Bi-Polar Electrosurgery, which uses a radio surgery unit, is emerging as the next wave in gum contouring. The technology is very popular with neurosurgeons and cardiologists, and has recently moved into the dental marketplace. With electrosurgery, the cutting is done with a very low current so that there is no bleeding, no pain, and no protective dressing required to cover the area.
And it takes no time at all - Dr. Denkovski can contour the gum line in about an hour. When the dentist is finished contouring the gum line, the result is final. The gums appear finished after the procedure. “I don't have to worry about how the gums will heal, I don't have to go back and make final touches," explains Dr. Denkovski.

Cavitron
The Cavitron ultrasonic cleaner is a state of the art instrument that has proved to be an extremely successful tool in removing tartar from both above and below the gum line. The Cavitron unit is so gentle that it can even be used to administer deep cleaning and gum therapy, many times without the need for anesthetic. Having your teeth cleaned with the Cavitron unit is a safe, effective, and painless alternative to traditional cleaning methods. A Cavitron vibrates at the speed of sound, so quickly that you can hardly feel any movement.

Sterilization
In order to provide patients with a safe and healthy environment we adhere to stringent infection control procedures at our dental office that meet or exceed Canadian Dental Association standards. All of our dental instruments are sterilized using the System B Sterilizer. All instruments are placed in cassettes and individually packaged to reduce handling and exposure. We routinely test the sterilizer to assure that it is working at maximum capacity. Our staff follows strict routine hand-washing procedures using an anti-microbial soap. We also wear protective masks at all times and place on new surgical gloves for each new patient. Just another way that we keep our patients as healthy as possible.

The Wand
The Wand is essentially a computer-controlled dental injection. The flow rate of the local anaesthetic is controlled by a computer. This means that the injection is guaranteed to be slow and steady and therefore comfortable.
Most people who have had a bad experience with injections think that needles sting because the skin is pierced, but this is usually not so! Most often, the sting was caused because the anesthetic was fired in too quickly. The Wand is just another way that we can assure your dental visit to be as comfortable as possible.
